This actually looks like it could be a lot of fun. I really love the emphasis on community involvement, and all the different community areas in the trailer look great. (I especially love the community market.) It's kind of like the festivals in City Living, but we can control what shows up when. I also like that even the standard "going green" items are tied into this; the purpose of the solar panels and wind turbines is that the community is a better place to live if the Sims take these measures.
Also, a full crafting system for furniture is something we haven't really had before. Yes, we had the handiness workbench-but the fact that we can now craft a full house of furniture using actual scraps that we find laying around is really cool. (And also kind of the trend in simulation games right now. Looking at you, Animal Crossing...) The dollhouse made out of cardboard is adorable. I'm hoping that kids can have a few DIY projects of their own, and a dollhouse made out of cardboard boxes seems perfect. Same thing with the bug house-I really hope kids can help raise the insects. I wonder if the catepillars turn into butterflies?
This pack also looks like it will pair perfectly with Nifty Knitting! Between having Plopsy to sell our candles and juice, and having another pack with craftable clothing, it seems like these two will seamlessly mesh together. I love when packs do that!
I can't wait for the livestream to find out more.
