Today, I was in my Sims 4 game and noticed that Eco Lifestyle was on Free Trial. I clicked on it, and it just showed me an error. So, I quit the game and Origin popped up. In Origin, I clicked on The Sims 4 and went to Expansion Packs. Then, I noticed EP 09 Trial PH Display Name. I did a quick search on the Internet and found that EP 09 is Eco Lifestyle. So, I downloaded it. It's 1.39 gb, which makes sense for an expansion pack.
This is so weird.
I tried searching on YouTube and Google for Sims News, but I couldn't find anything regarding Free Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack Trial.
You're right. I just downloaded the free trial of Eco and have started a new game in trial mode. Says it free to play for 7 days and allows you to play a trial game that looks to be separate from your regular saves. Cool, now I'll be able to test drive Eco to see if I like it or not. Just as a note to everyone, follow the instructions in @waterywatermelon's post and download straight from Origin (it will say EP 09 Trial PH), because if you go into your game and click from that packs menu, it will lead to a broken link, but it works fine after you do it from Origin :) I believe it ends on July 2.

You have to open Origin and look at the start page where it has the latest packs and features and stuff. I think the option for the free trial was located in the tab at the top where it lists the game pack you do and do not have yet. Look at Expansions and see if the option for the free trial is there.

I did. It's not on My Home and it's not on Store < Browse Games < The Sims < Expansion Packs. It only has it as unowned with the option to buy. There is no other selection for it.

Most are finding it by clicking your library then from there click sims4 then expansion packs. You may also need to update your game or origin to see it.
