Eco lifestyle in other worlds

I'm a bit sick of this utopia game therefore I'm more than exited to see what worlds may look like if they got polluted. I want that dystopia/apocalypse theme.

Sorry to say that only Evergreen Harbor will get really polluted, and have the features that change the environment, good or bad. In other worlds (except Strangerville and destination worlds) you get the smog and acid rain (if you have Seasons) and the norther lights. But - there are a couple lot traits that can be used to pollute a given lot - then there will spawn trash on the ground, I think - but only on lots with those traits, not on the community grounds outside the lot.

I'm actually glad not all worlds will get very polluted, because I don't want to play eco in all households. Still, a small effect will be cool, as it will probably not be enough to ruin the feel of the world, yet still show a difference.

The other worlds will also get smog but you only get the trash on other lots if you use the new lot traits pertaining to it. :)

I can only imagine the amount of complaining there'd be a among a lot of people, if they just had the trash show up everywhere. Just think of how people already complain about celebrities showing up everywhere. This way people can opt in to have the trash show up, and not have to worry about it, when they don't want their play impacted by it too much.

Coughing and a persisting tense moodlet were exactly the consequences that I was expecting. What is it you are looking for, illnesses similar to the temple curses in JA or death by pollution? Just curious what you had in mind.

Yeah I was thinking about illnesses. I honestly thought that would come with the pack but I don't know how easy that would be to mod in. Maybe polluted worlds can affect sims hygiene levels too, other than the dumpster diving. However I'm still unsure if this is an actual feature in the game.

And who knows what the mod community can come up with? They have pleasantly surprised me before :blush:

Definitely interesting ideas. I do like the idea of hygiene levels being affected.
And I have no doubt that the modding community will come up with amazing things based on the gameplay mechanics EL is introducing.

I get that not every people want they worlds been polluted. I don't want to play eco with every households too so I understand. At least we have smog etc.

Oh, that really is disappointment. It seems like Sims team doesn't want to add any challenge to the game. That would have also been nice touch to other world pollution.

Personally I'm fine with this. I do like a pretty dirty and polluted world, but I can see it being a real nightmare if you have NPC sims and other sims dropping dead everywhere with stages of sickness. Can't please everyone I guess though the thought in itself is interesting for sure.
