What is CD Keys?
Its an online store that sells digital games. You buy the game code from them and then redeem it through Origin. - I bought it only because I could bundle and get it at a better price then the 25 percent off. I also downloaded a patch to control some of the craziness, and the pack is better than I expected. Still wouldn't pay full price for it, and even 25 percent off is a bit much for what you get.
- Daephene15 years agoSeasoned AceI'm in the "if you've waited this long wait for 50% off" camp, but that's because I rarely buy anything when it's not on sale and I have waited years to buy some content because it didn't suit what I was doing in my game at the time. I bought EL last time it was 25% off because I was excited for certain features, but due to my large rotational save I have only scratched the surface so far so part of me wishes I had waited. But I inherited some money at the time and wanted to treat myself, so it is what it is.
If most of the content super appeals to you then ignore me and buy it now, but otherwise I am usually in favor of spending less money where possible. - Ancaryvan5 years agoSeasoned AceI've check the base price between Origin and CDkeys, Origin is cheaper than CDKeys in base price. $Cdn 51.99 in Origin but $Cdn 61.19 in CDKey! The discount percent maybe larger than Origin but BE VERY AWARE THE BASE PRICE. Larger discount comes with MORE EXPENSIVE BASE PRICE!
- If you don't mind waiting, it will probably go down to around £10 - 12 at CDkeys.
- Simburian5 years agoSeasoned AceI got it when it first came out. I like to have the longest time to play packs before the next one descends on us!
I'm not going out so have unspent coffee and cake money saved up! - Wintermist5 years agoSeasoned AceThe expansion that made me quit playing lol, it made the game so chaotic and messy I just couldn't stand it. So no, I don't recommend it :)
- I haven't really done much with the "eco lifestyle" aspect, but I like the pack for what it adds -- I've put dumpsters in various places around my worlds (typically behind restaurants and bars/lounges/nightclubs) along with the recycling machines. I like the crafting opportunities like the candle making and Fabricator; I usually play creative Sims and adding the Maker trait gives that extra little touch. If you have Nifty Knitting, knitting also counts towards fulfilling the desire to make things, and you can sell the candles on Plopsy to make more money. My next Sim is likely going to be a freelance crafter of some sort, no regular job but just selling his/her wares through Plopsy and maybe at the Flea Market or set up a sales table in one of the worlds. (I might have him/her write on the side just to have a regular income from royalties. :) )
- Well the wait until it's cheaper option has the most votes so are you waiting until it's cheaper? :)
- @simgirl1010 That was my plan, but EA made me happy for once (with Snowy Escape) so I may actually get it now. I'm waiting for a response from my friends on Discord.
Update: They all reacted with sad emojis, so I think I'll wait until Black Friday. Hopefully it'll be 50% off by then.
