While Eco Living is a buggy mess.
If comparing SE and EL I'd say both NAPS and Lifestyles are equally buggy. At least I can't enjoy both without proper mods.
As for the favorites. Obviously they depends on individual playstyles. I can perfectly see why some people love IL and SE and hate EL and vice versa. With my playstyle I like to have rotations, integrated economy and politics in my game so all EL features (including dynamic Community Lot I didn't mention before) are a huge gift for me.- Sigzy_29New Spectator

Both were themes I wanted, but Snowy Escape actually works, while Eco Lifestyle still has issues. Changes we make to the worlds are not consistent, and reset with rotating (sometimes I suspect traveling with my active household is enough).
That aside I enjoy winter sports a bit more, so I'd probably still vote for Snowy if Eco worked flawlessly. Plus, I can turn off Lifestyles in Snowy, whereas I cannot get rid of the intrusive, character breaking phonecalls that came with Eco.
Couldn't be further from the truth given how lifestyles are broken and will mess up your game. You can resort to mods to fix them but otherwise sims will gain more lifestyles than they should and it'll break the UI and gameplay.
Eco Lifestyle is clearly the better option, you get more money for your buck. Not to mention you can use all of it's content outside of a single world. Personally I've never had a problem with NAPs because my sims never skip a voting process and if there's one that I don't like I petition to get it removed. - pammiechickNew NoviceThere's so much sandbox play with EL and different things that can happen spontaneously. I played out SE within a few hours of playtime. Conquering the mountain was super easy as was going on all the trail hikes. I like the CAS and BB with SE, but not as much as EL. There's A LOT to do with EL. I love how you can focus on different things with it and it changes all the time.

If you absolutely had to buy ep from 2020 which one do you think is better?
(or if you bought either one or both which did you like better?)
this is purely for science
explanations appreciated
Snowy cause it adds a Winter World atleast on the mountain and skiing and sledding. - yeah I'm actually quite unsure how i feel about eco lifestyle as theme so i skipped it for now
it has some key items id really like to add in my game but the whole theme is just odd and idk to what degree i care about my sims living ecologically and if i want that type of realism or not - sallycutecatSeasoned NoviceI have always wanted a pack like Snowy Escape. When I played Sims Vacation I used to spend the whole time in the snow world. I wanted a constantly snowy world for Sims 4 and it's now here in Snowy Escape. I really like the snowboarding and that it's now on an actual mountain rather than a halfpipe. The mountain has a lot of options for how the Sim goes down it. I think the hiking and the Japanese theme are a nice touch that adds to the game, but it's the snow that I mainly wanted. I think they've done a really good job with Snowy Escape.
Eco Lifestyle is a theme that I just have no interest in. I don't care to have my Sims clean up the environment. I like he packs that add fun things to do to my game like Snowy Escape and Island Living. - Just got snowy escape I think lifestyle seems more decent than NAP or eco footprint mess.
- InuMiroLoverNew SpectatorSnowy Escape was really the only pack this year that I was 100% pumped for after the trailer. Eco Lifestyle is okay, and I like the trash build/buy, but it doesnt rank high in my list of favorite EPs. Plus I had to find a mod to stop Sharing Is Caring since sims just stole everything and ruined builds. :|
- Snowy Escape is my favorite- the aesthetic and Japan inspired world were great for me. Plus, Eco Lifestyle was just so buggy for me, I found it more frustrating than fun. I ended up turning off most of its features!

Imho EL has a *lot* more and overall more impactful stuff to do than SE. Sure the NAPs are somewhat disappointing but once turned off, I like the eco footprint, grimey states, community spaces you can put in every world, the careers, all the new crafting hobbies it adds, the new meat wall etc. SE adds primarily snow, snowboarding and wall climbing, and a career that is a bit strange. But there’s no real lasting effects on gameplay and while looking amazing, it hasn’t immersed me nearly as much as EL could. So between the 2, hands down EL. By a wide margin.
oh I was wondering! if you add community space do you still have to enter the lot separately or can the sims use the items without entering the specific lot?
and is it different in other worlds than say the one that came with eco lifestyle?
cause I'm quite confused about that
also for hobbies i think i was mostly irritated by how it had so many machines for the activities so I'm bit on fence how to feel about the pack activities
though i absolutely loved to see the candle making and meat wall and i could definitely use some smog in some worlds
I'm just bit unsure about rest of it fitting in my olde timey save
b/b is really useful though so I will most likely get it eventually regardless
