If you don't create the parents before the siblings, you'll run into trouble. See that blank sim in their family tree? It's like the game spawns some fake parent for them if you don't create real parents first, and then you can't get rid of the fake parent. The only way I've been able to fix it is to make a "twin" of the messed up sibling, delete the original, and make sure the correct mother and father are set on the new sibling before you leave CAS.
