Yeah, emotions need to be improved. But I don't think the devs would be able to do all the necessary work to fix the many, many flaws emotions have. We still need fear, emotions that don't change at the drop of a hat, a better moodlets that take priority over others, emotional states that mellow or spike over time
(like in this preview), and more.
But they do manage to pull all that off? A major game improvement. But eh, emotions aren't that interesting in the first place. We didn't even need them in previous games to know how our sims were feeling, and there are other elements of the game that would improve the game majorly if they were overhauled. I'd rather they fix the trait system, because that's way more important to me.
