I wonder why. It's a weird decision not to do a livestream. I guess a prerecorded stream is also unlikely.
For the business and hobbies pack they did a livestream after the pack was released and it was hosted by SpringSims. Maybe the developers don't like that they are heckled during these events.

The B&H Livestream was streamed on Monday March 3 with Mersea and Scott. The EP was released on Thursday March 6.
Spring Sims hosted the Developer Livestream for Golden Years, Kitchen Clutter, and Restoration Workshop.
It's a shame that some people do that, but it seems to me that the obvious solution would be "just turn off comments" instead of "don't have a livestream at all." Why punish the rest of us?
