I think luck is a bit too powerful. My Sim who is a level 10 cooking skill should be able to use a stove without starting a fire every single time. I don't care how bad her luck might be! I could understand it happening once, but after three times in a row, I turned luck off. 

I was sad to do it, because having a fire possible at her skill level adds interest to the game. I didn't mind it happening, but it should just increase the likelihood of fires, not make them inevitable.

I haven't been able to play too much so am building a house and creating fairies whenever time is available. Looking forward to playing but agree with others that there are items I wish we had gotten with this pack. I too want a matching single bed and more items for younger sims. As I was building I realized the limitations more. I like matching items. I found a single bed that worked OK but would prefer one like the others with the actual wood look. I also would like to have seen rugs and wallpaper for the younger set that matched the linen on the toddler bed and crib. Would love to have the acorn and freezer bunny patterns available for the walls and rugs, and similar themed lamp for a child's room! Some of the Cottage Living items work well with it, and the Horse Ranch stuff, but would be really cute with the acorn and freezer bunny patterns.

This is a game. I believe you don't even own this DLC

If you own this DLC and have real feedback then that means something to me. 

I don't own this DLC therefore I can't say anything... 

All I can do is take in the information from those that own it and make my own decisions. 

Coming into this thread when you dont even own the DLC and comparing it to a real life epidemic is huge mis-step.

This is a game  not a real epidemic that has taken real lives. The team is willing to fix your ailments...you don't have to stoop so low.

Every single of my kitchen appliances break every single day. I don‘t have any gnomes around and no sim has an ailment. And my child sim catches on fire every time she uses the toilet. 

Okay, I have to admit, as much as I love this pack, the ailments are slightly annoying every now and then. Not everyone has a fairy, work with apothecary and ingredients, or have 1500 x6 (my current family got sick one time each during a week, the fairy twice. Thankfully, I can hunt down fairies to cure me, but it's not my favorite pastime. And this is with 'balance' and 'luck' turned off.

This pack is definitely a mixed bag.

On one hand I never loved Sims 4 till this pack (and this pack inspires me to get packs I have only mild interest in), but the throwing up/interruption from ailments is too much. I don't always cure ailments and all my action queues get interrupted when they throw up, and it causes a dirty toilet, I think, every time. 

I am looking forward to a slight reduction in ailments but I want throwing up turned off during ailments (it is bad enough that Creative Impulse daze/interrupts action queues).

I just had to use a mod to rescue my Sim. He just got over Emotional Void Ailment. And suddenly, I found him afflicted again, only this time it was Greenie Meanie. Yikes. Again, this happens when another of his three daughters is set to age up, too. I employed the mod No Ailments that I got from Curse Forge. Then I learned there's an update coming this next week. My Sim was suddenly ill, yet again, after the family got home from the restaurant. What I like about this mod is not only can you cure instantly, the active Sim, but while active you can give immunity to all ailments. I double-checked and he's still immune. Phew! So, I had him take the wonder medicine in the brown bottle. Turns out, this time it's just a cold.  He's got the Starlight Accolades the next evening. Life is so hard when you're a Global Superstar. The man just can't catch a break.

So, I will just have to see what gives after the patch, and how much EBN will further disrupt my game. Oi!

Its been proven that nothing can Stop these ailments even with 75% chance of survival.

These ailments will always be an issuer (Medea style..i ment to misspell) in the game they ain't going away.

Edit: lock down and mask don't work for this gameplay. You just got to load up on medicines and play through it.

Good Luck and I mean this in a good way,  because these ailments are not going away.

Stock up on medicinal and supplements just like we do with Pets. 🙂
