Trailer is mid but the fairies are pretty, I will be getting. Feels lacking in gameplay though

I like the aesthetic of the Build Buy. CAS is... fine. The new interactions are going to be heaven sent for doing rags to riches challenges. Alchemy is going to depend heavily on how/if they cross pack it with the illnesses from Get to Work and other sources.
Fairies are, unfortunately, what I expected. Which is... a me problem. Sorry, I just can't get excited for being limited to pop culture pixies at the moment. Maybe the full trailer on the 28th will show me some actual depth and variety to them, but right now, they meet expectations, which I knew I was going to find limiting from day one.

I liked the trailer. The world is beautiful and it appears that there's indeed a big forest. I am not much into the fairies, though they do look pretty, but I love everything else that comes with the pack. The BB looks beautiful, there seem to be lots of new plants and the new apothecary skill appears to be quite detailed. Can't wait to find out more. Also, wish they would give us an unbroken version of that mermaid ship, it's too cool looking to only have it as a wreck.

You can read the post they will be two branches helpful and destructive fairy.

I have mixed feelings about the ailments and apothecary stuff. One reason I haven't bought GtW is because I don't want the illnesses in my game and now the ailments sound similar to illnesses... and/or RoM curses? RoM curses are quite okay. I just wonder how often my sims will catch ailments and how easy they are to cure.

Yes, but they're still just Pixies. They have wings, they shrink, and fly, er hover. Can't even sidestep to Elves/Sidhe (wings don't appear to be optional) No goblins, no leprechauns, no boggans or brownies, no cobolds... if they aren't tiny with wings, they aren't an option.
On this point, EA cannot win with me. Fairies in the Sims have always been just Pixies. because that's all Fairies are in Pop Culture, much to my annoyance. Did I expect more than Pixies? No. Does that mean I now have to be excited about Pixies? Also no. This is very much a Me problem, I admit. But I still should be allowed to vent about it (except in the Positive thoughts thread.)

My first thought about this trailer and blog :
- ❌ CAS : I didn't see good stuff for male sims
- ✔️ B/B : Match very well to the theme
- ❌ Gameplay : Again a pack about doing chores, I didn't see new fun activities to do for non-occult sims
- ✔️ World : The design is interesting, a little less magical than Sylvan Glade
- ✔️ Occult : Fairies are welcome
- ❌ Bonus : no FOMO this time
Globally Maxis did a good job but EP19 Enchanted By Nature didn't charm me.
It seems I'm more attracted by the darkness from EP17 Life & Death than the utopia from EP19 Enchanted By Nature.
So I will probably purchase this EP in the future but it's not my top priority right now.

The gameplay features doesn't feel that much different to me or I don't feel sure about them, especially the ailments and this whole balance with nature thing.
I think the style and the design is very strange too, so I don't think this pack is for me, but I was kinda expecting that anyway.

I loved it. The whole thing (and I do not usually play occults). I WILL be buying this pack ASAP.
