Love that new hairstyle and overalls this sim is wearing! Can't wait to see the rest of CAS.

In case someone else like to use them, I just created a set of 5 fairy-esque framed picures for my own game. Green or brown frames (BG). Glad to share 😀 If you don't plan a storyline where they can be used, they might suit as deco in a cottage or a young girl's bedroom ;)
Download here (all free, just misc stuff from my own game)

It looks better than I thought it would, so far, but I hope you can play fairies in a non-cutesy way. It doesn't currently feel like a must buy for me, so more information is definitely needed..

GTW illness I find to be rare, and when your sim gets it you can easily buy medicine on the phone or computer to cure them. how often and how the chances for these illnesses work, I am curious about

I have waited so long for Fairies.. finally I can complete my Occult family and play their story out.
I might have missed it being mentioned, but hoping (even if it should be obvious) for CAF.
As for the Fairy living on emotions... I wonder if food consumption will be similar to vampires or something else entirely. My fairy is expected to join the table on the holiday celebrations.
Looking forward to more info about our little occults.
Also, those wings in that middle frame... they're everything I've hoped for my Fairy to get.

The trailer is quite something. I like that we finally have confirmation about playable fairies. I am a bit confused about the change from the teasers so far. The teasers were trying to be so subtle to the point where they seemed to go out of their way to hide fairies at all costs. And now they are thrown in our face right from the start. It just feels odd. But I am too excited for fairies to waste anymore energy over what we have been through.
My thoughts
- ✅fairies!!! Not sure yet how far their gameplay is developed but I have seen enough to play with.
- ✅interesting new build mode objects. They feel a bit chunky, I don't know if we can easily use them outside of the fairy context but I will try
- ✅CAS: the fairy wings and clothing look great. It's something totally different from realistic clothing and I love it. 🙂 One of the accompanying pictures on the blog even shows a blue skinned fairy with horns.
- ➖apothecary skill: feels like a variation on herbalism, magical potions, science serums. We have a few craftables with special effects. I will wait and see if this adds anything new to the idea
- ❌ailments: feels like something that can be really annoying once the 'new' wears off. I hope there is an opt out in game settings, through lot challenges or with a special reward trait.
- ✅world: looks like an extention of Henford on Bagley. That's one of my favorite worlds so I don't mind. I had hoped a bit more sylvan glade vibes but it's ok.
- ➖living in nature: foraging and sleeping remind me of werewolves. It's nice to have this available for every one. Bathing in nature is a nice addition after showering in the island living waterfall
- ❌children: no child fairies, nothing new for children to do. I so wish that occult lifestages would include all ages. Occult simmers can like family play too, you know.
- ❌gnomes: I hope we can avoid them. The fact that they were only low key present in the reveal trailer gives me hope.
- ❌Bonus items: the additional fairy house looks cute. I consider this a downside because I don't like the principle of early buyers rewards.

i totally agree with you with the ailment part, i'm worried i can't make a Tinkerbell or Winx Club stories without getting the ailment involved i hope it's in 1 specific world only or atleast have them in "lot challenge" or "lot trait" or we can atleast toggle it on/off in settings
and the gnomes part: i hope they are there for decorations only, they could've done that in Seasons to be honest, i rather want to avoid them
i haven't thought about little kids but now that you mention it, i wish they had things for little kids
i don't have other concerned or negative things to add for now👍

sailorleontine and atreya33 It says in the blog that gnomes can be brought to life with pixie dust. So you can keep them as decoration only if you want.

First impressions: I enjoyed the preview video. There's a lot of potential in this pack. I may have questions about a couple of things later, but truthfully, I even loved the 3 bonus items. Buy-build looks awesome. Different wings styles are similar to Sims 3. Pretty world. The gameplay hinted at looked promising.
I haven't bought Businesses and Hobbies (yet), but I'll probably get this pack fairly soon--after I see how the streamers work with it. I like to make sure there aren't any big issues with new releases. But the theme and feel of this pack fits more into my overall way of playing, more so than building up businesses.
