@_crocobaura, there's at least one female gnome already in the game ... the one in the striped one piece bathing suit, with the innertube around her waist. I can't remember right now if there are anymore female looking ones or not.

Loving all the plants in this 😍 more plants and indoor greenery is always a plus for me and I think the ability to make concoctions from plants and herbs etc would blend nicely with the spellcaster pack, I've always wanted a fairy tale style witch sim that can make all sorts of lotions and potions and lives in a quaint little house in the woods with lots of cats 😆 Looking forward to seeing what fairies can do, whether they can fly or hover, what their skill tree, so to speak, involves or if it's more a mermaid deal with powers 🤔

The major features are foraging (searching the ground for food, which you can do with Island Living - they even reused the animation for it), bathing in water (Island Living again), and sleeping on the ground. (Involuntary in the basegame. Otherwise a new thing, but it's kind of weird to make a big deal about a feature that's worse than anything we already have.) It's good for Rags to Riches and Castaway challenges, but even then they're not really game-changers. Would have preferred hammocks making a comeback.
I don't see why they couldn't lead with Luck in this trailer - something very new. I'm sure it's mostly just passive fluff, but it's more interesting and original, imo.
But then again, more Simology panel bloat. Bleh. I'm glad we have a mod to help with this, but to wit, the pane already has fears, three different like and dislike systems, relationship boundaries, fame, reputation, lifestyles, and character values.
Ailments might get annoying later, but I like them. I always wanted my sims to experience more illnesses. It'd be disappointing if Elixirs are the only way of curing them, instead of actual medicine like in real life. But other than that, there's some story potential here. I just hope they aren't all passive buffs and debuffs, and you experience things like dizzy spells, fainting, or vomiting.
The BB is cute. Not my thing, but it's very fun.
The architecture is adorable. I love the houses here.
I like the lead girl's hair. Not a fan of baby hairs and realistic hair textures, since they usually clash with the clay style of the game. But they did it well here.
I like the fairy outfits. We're not just getting some Barbie Fairytopia knock-off; we have some more regal and natural clothing. The wings have a good variety. Since the lead got small wings when she became a fairy, I hope there's a level-up system where your wings grow as you become stronger.
The crashed boat looks like a great landmark. Would be great to, you know, actually explore it or something. Hope that's a feature. But looking at it from afar is nice too.
I like being able to be a plant parent and care for houseplants.
Pretty disappointed, tbh. It feels like a bunch of leftovers from Island Living, Eco Lifestyle and Cottage Living. Like I know those all have different themes, but most of these features could have been in any of those packs and we wouldn't blink twice.

In the Sims 1, with Makin' Magic, you can cast a spell (maybe it's a charm?) to make the gnomes come to life temporarily. They can swim around in the nectar maker and consume a bit too much. Also, if you cast the perfect garden spell (charm?) while they are active on your lot, they will get ticked off and kick your Sim in the shin. Gnomes are awesome in TS1. 😁

Pool gnome looks like a female. I think she's the only one though.

Probably Simlish for "Fairy" - we'll have to wait and see what Sims call them.
Hmm idk kinda feels like lots of things we already have in different form
guess this is gonna be one of those packs where I can't tell how I feel about it before its all revealed 😅
Happy to see fairies though 🧚♀️
It's nice to see fairies back in the game. They're not something that fits my current play style but I'm happy for those it does. Someday I'll get back to playing occults.🙂 I love a lot of the cas items. Some of those items would make great halloween costume for my sims. Or outfits for acting gigs. For my stories I sometimes use screenshots and regular lots to stage my own acting gigs for storytelling purposes. The outfits would be fun in the right story.

Based on the trailer, it's looking like an amalgamation of Island Living, Cottage Living, Eco Lifestyle and Outdoor Retreat. I'm just not that impressed by what I see.
Foraging for food is nice I guess, but I did notice they reused the 'beach combing' animation for it. The same goes for bathing in bodies of water, it's not exactly new. Sleeping on the ground will be good for Rags to Riches challenges, if you're into that, but it's still not entirely new. Werewolves can take a 'wolf nap' anywhere, which can be unlocked as part of their skill tree.
The Create-a-Sim and Build/Buy mode assets look pretty cute, but I do think this sort of aesthetic can still be achieved pretty easily with other packs, especially if you own all current DLC like I do. I'd say the only exception would appear to be moss roofing, to allow for those Hobbit style builds.
I still don't have much hope for fairies, and I think it's going to work similarly to mermaids. I hope I'm wrong, but right now I'm just not really feeling it.

Don’t worry non-Fairy Sims, you can also have some magical fun with Fairy Dust, using it to enchant plants, bring Gnomes to life, and more.
"Bring Gnomes to life" and Apothecary Todd were originally from The Sims EP7 Makin' Magic.
But be wary of Emotional Starvation. Rather than living off food, Fairies absorb emotions to survive, either directly from other Sims or from bottled Emotion Potions. Failure to do so may welcome their untimely demise.
I hope Cowplants will be able to produce "Essence of Fear" soon in order to feed Discordant Fairies.
