Enough of animals entering inside gyms, clubs, bars and other types of lots. DO SOMETHING, for god.

Seriously, this is already making me extremely uncomfortable. Sometimes I'm there, inside the gym, with my sim working out, and suddenly the gym starts to fill with animals. First comes a cat, then a dog, then another cat appears and so it goes. That is terrible.

Sometimes I'm there, dancing with my sim in a nightclub in Windenburg, and suddenly a dog appears in the middle of the dance floor. WHY ?! The same thing happens in bars, karaokes and other types of lots! Animals start to sprout and stay inside the lots with my Sims! Depending on the lot where I am, animals seem TOTALLY inappropriate and weird to be there.

Producers, please! For God, add a new feature in the lot information menu that allows players to decide on cats and dogs can visit some kind of lot or not. This is sure to solve not only my life, but also that of many people who can not stand having to divide the dance floor or the gym with an animal.

And I don't think the solution to this is the addition of lot traits called "banned animals", but you decide. Just try to solve this. :/ :(

As Chazzzy said, there is a mod by LittleMsSam that adds a No Pets Allowed lot trait, so you can put it on all the lots where you want to keep pets away

    Thanks for the mod!

I hope producer include in the game a new option to prevent animals in lots soon

Weird to imagine how they forgot about this problem.
  • Nah, animals just feel lonely. Sims couldn't last a day in a 2D cube without having somebody to be accompanied, so why should pets be left outside alone (abuse much of the OP's part?) The Sims 4 is about partying, and it should stay like that so screw giving controls to players. "You rule!" is like so out of trend and a thing in a past 4 years ago. :)
  • Initially when I first got C/D I experienced pet owners bringing in their pets to many places that were not registered as a hangout nor friendly to pets. Lately though as time passed down, I've seen little to none of that for some reason. They do still appear here and there, but as of now hasn't appeared in any place that isn't registered with those lot traits. Perhaps the devs did do something about it?
  • I feel like I rarely see animals outside of Brindleton Bay. I had my runaway teen who wasn't allowed to talk to adults travel there during school hours so she would have pets to socialize with, and there the strays mostly stay outside.

This is because unfortunately animals don't appear walking in public areas of other worlds, only in Brindleton Bay. You'll never see, for example, a sim with your dog taking a walk through the public areas of Willow Creek, Oasis Springs and other worlds.

Animals are set to go inside lots of other worlds, but walking freely in public areas is something that happens only in Bridleton Bay. It's sad.

This is the laziness of configuring the animals to appear in each of the districts of each worlds of the game.

Wow, that's even worse than I thought. What a louzy EP.

And in TS1 and TS2 not sure about TS3 there was a no pets allowed sign we could put on a lot. Why is that not a thing here?

Each The Sims 4 district has its own configuration related to the hours that pedestrians will appear, walk and stay in public areas. At Willow Creek, for example, there are pre-configured times for even pedestrian Sims to spend a little time fishing, usually in the morning.

Producers need to individually set up each district so that a certain amount of animals can appear correctly. Unfortunately, even with the release of Cats and Dogs, producers have not added any kind of code that allows animals to appear in other districts. Such configurations were only created in Brindleton Bay.

Lots work differently from public areas. So yes, you may see animals popping up inside the lots of other neighborhoods, or popping up quickly in the public area for the purpose of heading to the active lot, but you will never see animals with the intention of walking and staying in public areas.

While I do attribute that to laziness, I think part of that is just their new philosophy with expansions. Everything added in an expansion will typically be landlocked to the new world included. GT parties, only involve GT specific locations. CL content (apartments, festivals) is only available in SM. Stray and walk-by pets are locked into BB.

IMO it’s the dreadful roots of the online game showing through the paint.

If we follow this line of reasoning, the weather in an seasons expansion pack will be restricted to the new world they will create. And this is going to be a problem, because the community will make a scandal because of this and it will not be small.

    Haha

I could see that being the case. I used to think there was no way they would ship a seasons pack without global weather/seasons for every world, but after they have world-locked so many other things they’ve added it no longer seems like such a stretch. Using their last EP as a general idea for the future, they don’t have any issue releasing unfinished packs and then marketing them with crazy selling points that try to hide how unfinished it is.
