I've never regretted buying something. I watch plenty of videos with the pack (not reviews, just videos of people playing) and wait to be sure I won't be disappointed if I buy. That said, I don't have many Sims 4 add-ons.
There is only one thing in the sims franchise itself I bought that disappointed me, a long time ago, it's TS3 Generations. That's all.
