I did a short answer earlier in this thread, mainly because I was having the same difficulty in framing my answers within the provided structure.
One question I can answer is the socio-economic one. Living in the UK, class structure is still very apparent here. Though the world's provided are a long way from what we have in the UK, I have still projected that class structure onto my world. Oasis Springs is my working class and Willow Creek are the middle classes up to the pseudo-aristocracy. The clash of classes makes for interesting emergent stories, IMO.
