How do you approach ethnicity in your game?
I tend to not pay too much attention to that, like if I'm making a character at some point I'll just start cycling thru the different skin tones to see which one fits the best for the face.
Do you avoid playing, marrying, creating, or interacting with Sims of certain ethnicity?
Most certainly not.
Do you create characters of a different ethnicity than your own and give them stereotypical personalities, hairstyles or clothing?
Not really, but you won't see me giving a white girl braids or a fro lol
Do your Sims closely reflect your personal ethnicity and cultural values in gameplay?
Values yes, ethnicity no.
Do you incorporate socio-economics when creating Sims of various ethnicity?
Not one bit.
How do you identify your Sims in regards to sexuality and gender?
Gay, straight or bi. Gender is pretty straight forward in the game.
When and how do you choose your Sims sexual preference/identity?
I decide that after I'm pretty deep into the creation part of the Sim. I'll look at someone and go, "oh he'd be perfect for so-and-so" and then that's how it's decided. So-and-so could be a guy or girl.
Do you avoid creating LGBT/SGL Sims or do you incorporate them actively?
I don't actively avoid it but I usually make straight folk.
Do most of your Sims or your main Sim reflect your sexual identity?
Not really but me and my Sims do have the same tastes lol
How do you feel about playing romantic actions with a Sim of a different gender or sexual preference than you?
As long as my Sim is getting lucky I'm good.
If playing a couple of opposite genders, do you engage certain romantic interactions with one gender?
Only when it comes to engagements and weddings as I feel the animations are suited to one gender, other than that not really.
In same gender couples, do you place masculine and feminine roles on them?
Not usually, though I did make a lesbian and purposely made her a little masculine in her dress and gave her the Swagger walk.
Did you notice the absence of the word "Christmas" from The Sims team and do you have any thoughts on that?
I actually didn't notice, it's pretty common now to just use "Holiday".
Do you incorporate religion/spirituality into your gameplay?
No, and it doesn't really seem designed to fit that so I've never even really thought about it.
Do you view yourself as a God or eternal being among your Sims?
Yes I am the conductor and it irks me when they do not listen to me.
How do you view/observe life and death in your gameplay?
I'll be honest, I don't like for my Sims to die as I get attached but once we get more EPs and I get more into the game I'll start letting it happen. And no ghosts for me, I'm a realistic player in that sense.
Do you consider your Sims to be of a certain religion?
The religion of "go do what I just told you to do dammit".
