Fall 2025 Roadmap

I have been waiting for a hotel and vacation-pack for so long, and I dread the new pack. There is zero talk about a new venue type (hotels) or multifunktion lots, which would be needed to make hotels good, and instead there seem to be like this camping outdoor retreat but for kids vibe - but with gyms - over the new pack. They talk about you being able to customise the vacation spot, so more like a single lot in a vacation world, or some place like the hospital or science lab where you can change the lot as you please but there is only one in a set world with no local residents. There seem to be no chatter about normal hotel functions - the ability to build a cheesy motel, a luxury spa hotel by the beach, the city penthouse hotel or the family friendly pool extravaganza hotel.

I hope I am wrong. I really, really, really hope I am wrong. But so far, this is not giving me the right vibes. Archery and torturing butterflies is not something I am aiming for so I'll pass if that is the core of what the EP has to offer, even if I want new exercise equipment. 

Even after all these leaked pictures I have no clue what the new EP is about. It looks like "new everyday stuff".

Yeah, looks like summer camp or a scout jamboree theme, and yet they threw in imaginary friends and health club stuff... 

I would have preferred archery/hunting in a medieval pack, so this was a bit disappointing X /

I really liked the 3 latest Maxis kits, I'm curious to see what else the studio has planned.

If EP20 isn't postponed to December like EP15 For Rent, it could be a good sign. This theme has a good potential like EP17 Life & Death.

From the screenshots it doesn't seem like there's a lot of adventure going on. It looks like archery and a doll, possibly the imaginary friend, and then some gym stuff? I mean, all things I would like in the game, but where does the adventure come in? It looks really disappointing and like they are just rushing things out to stay on some schedule. I was really hoping the next thing EA would do is bands or a music-themed pack, so I'm a little pre-bummed out. 

Maybe it's going to be some kind of text adventures like when they explore space or the caves. Would be nice if it were like Strangerville or Selvadorada and the adventure is more hand on and we can actively explore with our sims. 

I wonder if they push back the roadmap or something was cancell.

I was surprised not to get the roadmap first before the actual teaser for the EP. I guess they either had to change some dates around (since things leaked out of order) or they just don't want to deal with the roadmap because it already leaked online like a week ago. It'll come out at some point. 

I just want the game to run properly, and I don't want to be told to just remove mods, because all of the mods I use are to fix bugs in the game.

Specifically:

• I want my game to stop constantly freezing and crashing. I'm punching far above weight when it comes to my system, so this shouldn't be happening as often as it is.
• I want my family tree in game to work properly, I want my married Sims to stop becoming siblings, and I want my Sims to remember who their children/brothers/sisters are without having to constantly fix things using a mod.
• I want a way to turn sentiments off, or at least to have them behave in a way that makes sense; a Sim with a maxed out friendship bar and a good trait should not be randomly screaming abuse at their BFF for absolutely no reason, and Sims with a good relationship should be able to apologise to one another after a disagreement without ending up with umpteen dozen continuous angry sentiments and cheats that don't work (currently not happy that the previous mod I was using for this is no longer working as well).
• I want my Sims to go to work when it's time, and not get stuck running in and out of the house whilst their phone constantly rings telling them they should be at work.
• I want my Spellcasters to remain Spellcasters and not have to constantly go into CAS to switch them from regular Sims back to being Spellcasters. 
• I want the 'speed run' trait to actually work with my Vampire Sims.
• I really want to be able to buy another pack (like Enchanted by Nature) and feel confident that it's not going to be a buggy mess and crash my game. 
• Most of all I just want the packs that I paid for to be playable, and I'd really love to not have to use mods because the game is broken. 

I honestly don't care about anything else right now other than the game just being fixed and having better quality control going forward. Right now I can't even trust buying one of my most wanted expansion packs (Fairies), because I feel like it'll just be a complete waste of money when nothing works properly.

YaaaY!!  Its got exercise bikes!  Thats...good? 

All I wish for,  is a smooth running gmae with no glitches.  Therefore, my hopes are not particularly high and I shall await purchase after bugs are thoroughly squashed.
