Family Dynamics

It would be in the sim’s profile. Under where it usually shows the other ways they’re related. Like where it says spouse, sibling, etc. if you don’t see it, they haven’t developed one yet. You can either wait more time for it to naturally develop or go into cas.fulleditmode (if it’s your first time since the pack release doing so) to set the dynamic yourself.

@UniqueKhaos - Perfect, thank you! Great explanation. I'm hoping my game isn't bugged as they have been a family for quite some time now and I would have thought they would have developed some sort of family dynamic by now - even if it was just the parents. I will keep my eye out.

@vancanuckfan86 you’re welcome! My couple developed their dynamic pretty quickly and the game has tried to change it at least once. The mother didn’t develop a dynamic with their son until he aged up to a toddler and so far, I rejected all the ones offered for father and son because they don’t fit my vision. Not sure if this is always the case but for me, it took quite a bit of time and a decent amount of interaction.

Mine appeared twice...once when my newly weds were chatting and it asked if they wanted a jokestar (something along those lines) dynamics, and when my toddler aged and the parent interacted with him, asked if they wanted a strict dynamic

And just like that the father and daughter have received the supportive family dynamic! Guess I was just being impatient, lol.

Can you change family dynamic? I made my sim father strict with both of his daughters but he seems to be hating it. He’s sad whenever he interacts with them.

I am unsure if we can change family dynamics. I hope someone answers this because I'm curious!
