It's hard to pick my favorites in some arenas, but I'll give this a shot.
Favorite expansion: Get together. I absolutely love the club system, and the world is pretty nice. A lot of the decor stuff in this pack is hit or miss, but I use a decent amount of the stuff in it. I felt like it was the strongest expansion.
Least favorite: City Living. I will admit I don't own city living, But that is very simply because after a lot of research I was seriously disappointed with what it had to offer for the price point. There were a lot of reasons why I ultimately decided not to buy this pack, but it was ultimately because the features I wanted weren't done well. I was really hoping to be able to build apartments in other worlds and when I found out they were exclusive to San Myushuno I was very disappointed. This set a negative precedent that I seriously hope doesn't carry over to other features like weather.
The other thing was the festivals. I did like the new spin on festivals (With geek con and spice festival and such) but was kinda put off by how badly people were reporting they functioned, and I honestly preferred the Sims 3 method of having the festival disappear after closing time.
All that aside, I don't generally like the expansion packs nearly as much as the game packs. I feel like especially for the price point they have weaker content overall. I think this is mostly that they try to do too much under too broad an umbrella, which makes the content seems unfocused, where as game packs are all dead on point for the theme.
Favorite game pack: This is honestly such a hard choice... But I think Outdoor retreat or Vampires. Outdoor retreat really helped with my play style and some of the stories I wanted to do and I really love nature so having a wonderful foresty place to hang out was great. For Vampires I really like the vampire system and a lot of the content was beautiful. I also really loved the female clothes and wound up using them a lot on my evil queen type characters.
Least favorite: I like them all. I don't think I can really put one here.
Favorite stuff pack: Either Spooky stuff or Movie Hangout stuff. Movie hangout had a lot of content that really worked with my tastes and I just loved it. It had so many bright colors and I wound up using those hanging lights everywhere. I also fell in love with the tree that had hanging lanterns and use that a lot too. For spooky stuff, I just love Halloween. It's is tied for first place with Christmas as my favorite holidays and I loved having more stuff for it around.
I also would love to play parenthood, and I'm sure I'll love it if I ever get the chance to play it. The only reason I didn't buy it is because the game has been really laggy for me since the toddler update, and since it's so difficult to play I'm not buying further content until a large bug fix patch comes along.
