Get to Work and Get together are my two favorite packs sometimes I would pick one, and sometimes the other, Get to Work gives me retail, and 3 fantastic jobs with work places, Get together gives me a wonderful new world, the club system and a lot of fun objects. Season I could actually do without, but I do enjoy the holidays with seasons. Sometimes the weather is quite annoying to me, especially if I go on a vacation, and the weather is bad.
RANTS: There needs to be a way to check the weather in a different place before going there, bad weather can spoil a vacation, or even a days outing. Get to works retail should have been like Dine out where you don’t have to own the business to set objects for sale....... I wish they would change that as many of my sims go to a retail store to buy things, but I really don’t like having to set the retail stores up initially having some one buy them, make the food etc. etc. I also would rather be able to buy each piece in an outfit off of a rack, jewelry case etc, and keep it in my dresser, closet, hat box or jewelry box, instead of an entire outfit off of a mannequin. Retail outfit buying used to be so much more fun when you had to pay for them, even if you bought them from the buy mode. You couldn’t just go into CAS and change everything for free. But that is probably more of a problem of how outfits were set up in the first place in this base game. I can’t remember if it was sims 1 or sims 2 ( or both) where you had to buy outfits, jewelry, etc. before you wore them, just like you do furniture. That made the game so much more fun using retail clothing stores and jewelry stores. And with all the pieces there are to buy now, you could have all types of clothing stores, outfit stores, jewelry stores, hat stores, shoe stores, underwear stores, swimsuit stores, you just clicked on a rack at a store, or a jewelry counter and all items in that category came up for you to buy. The game could still be made in a different mode if you wanted to be a seller where you had to buy certain pieces to sell them, actually in both clothing and furniture. It would be more work for EA, but so much more fun for the player.
