Has anyone else had this problem where you get the fertile trait but only have single births, my sim had a set of twins before the trait was added cause I wanted triplets but nothing 8 babys later all...

You can try with fertility massage if you have Spa Day...
My sim got triplets with fertile trait and fertility massage.
Of course, you have mods for this, you can even choose number of babies - you can find it on Mod the sims
