I ve had a lot of success running a food store. I turned aging off for a while and maxed cooking, gourmet cooking and baking skills, then started with a tiny shop selling mainly high level food items, party size lobster, baked Alaska, eclairs, etc usually sell for a large amount with 50 percent mark up. I never use restock, it’s more profitable to cook fresh and restock manually. My sims usually manage to open the shop three times a week and usually make between 4 and 6 thousand simoleans a week. They are not rich but make a decent living.
