Finding love after a breakup scenario

I thought I'd try this out in a previous Save. All I can say is don't delay on getting them to do something as I did, as a humungous fight broke out between him and her and they went so far into the red it's going to take a long time to sort it out.

They now have a separate tent each at opposite ends of the lot and I've put in the cheapest kitchen and bathroom from the ready made ones in the middle. He's got sent off to do a course and she is still at home dealing with the neighbours.

I'm now off for a reviving coffee to think about how to save them or immediately give up! Maybe he can work nights and she days?
  • I love how you put them outside in tents on other sides of the lot!! :joy: :joy: :joy:

  • It's harder to keep Sims together once they have broken up once. This information shared with me in another thread today, which I wasn't previously aware of might interest you:

    Just some additional info:
The game mechanics allow for mean autonomous socials as soon as sims have the broken up relationship bit. There are no additional tests so in a vanilla game, Sims that have once broken-up will always be able to autonomously be mean to each other no matter how strong their relationship got afterwards.

  • Wondering if they might have changed this for this storyline. I'll go and find out.
  • I think the mean swipes at one another is just plain messed up. To have them continue after they have reconciled is monstrous. People can and do get over bad patches in their relationship. In fact, many find the relationship stronger for the trials they went through. What is wrong with the thinking on the part of the Devs? I guess they don't believe in power of forgiveness.
  • I think it's a glitch/bug not actually intentionally on the part of the devs, @GalacticGal. But I agree, it's a nasty one.
