I think the mean swipes at one another is just plain messed up. To have them continue after they have reconciled is monstrous. People can and do get over bad patches in their relationship. In fact, many find the relationship stronger for the trials they went through. What is wrong with the thinking on the part of the Devs? I guess they don't believe in power of forgiveness.
