So this is what love looks like for the newly engaged couple.

Enjoying quiet time together.

Sometimes they spice things up.

My challenge sim Carly had a best friend as a child and they were separated for many years with no contact.

They found each other again at a masquerade ball. He was King now.

Destiny brought them together and he proposed soon after.

And they are married now and raising a family.

So sweet they found each other ❤️

My sim Nico and his longterm girlfriend Quinn. They first met on new years eve in windenberg, Nico was being hounded by Nancy Landgraab and Quinn randomly came and joined the conversation, Nico couldn't take his eyes off her, it was love at first sight ❤️

Their first date and their first kiss. Which lead to lots more kissing 😚

Nico and Quinn enjoy a fun night at his house, they are always playful when they are together 😁

For their first year anniversary Nico booked a table at a posh restaurant, they enjoyed a three course meal lots of good conversation and flirting 💕

Nico is currently house hunting and planning a surprise proposal, marriage and children is very much on the cards for them 🌹

And a bonus pic of my legacy founder sims Rebecca and Paolo, it's the only pic I have of them. Nico is their 27th generation descendant and they were my favourite sim couple ever, they were married three days after they met and had their first child a week later 😊 Rebecca is still around in my game as she is an immortal elder mermaid 🧜🏻‍♀️

My favourite sim love story is Anna and Johnny's. You can find large part of it in the Whittaker Saga, from the 1920s onwards.

But their love story starts with another one, Anna's first (in the 1910s). A nurse in WW1, Anna meets French soldier Maurice and falls head over heals. The two plan a life together for after the war, and make plans to travel the world together, she to explore the world, he to paint it. But in one of the very last battles of the war, Maurice dies, leaving Anna heartbroken and swearing never to love again. 

Fast forward to Anna arriving in San Muschino years later, having explored the Salvadorian Jungle alone in an attempt to heal her broken heart but still committed to the idea of remaining a "widow" (even if they never got to marry). Who lives next door if not Johnny, a sexy working-class war-veteran with commitment issues who likes - and is very liked by - women. On their very first hello, he tries (and nearly succeeds) to seduce her. Later he comes knocking at her door at all hours of the day, to be fed, to bring her out to festivals, to go jogging together... slowly she starts accepting that he's always around, and accept his invitations to various fun activities. Still she does not give in romantically. Not even a kiss (but a lot of flirting). 

Then one night she hears a lot of noise from his flat in the middle of the night. Angry she pounds his door only to have him open up in only a towel (remember this is the 1920s we're talking! Horribly enough I failed to get any screenshots.). Apparently there is another woman in the room. Anna is not impressed. Johnny does not apologize. Instead he kisses her the next chance he gets, making Anna flee and head straight for Japan with the goal to climb Mt Komorebi. She's gone more than a year and expect that Johnny has forgotten all about her when she returns. 

He hasn't. When they run into each other the first time it's awkward, but he invites himself over for dinner and that night things get steamy for real. Being certain that she will never marry, as the man she was meant to marry died, Anna trows caution to the wind and woohoos like there is no tomorrow. She tries to tell herself that that is all it is, that she is just one of the girls she has (without noticing that he no longer sees anyone else). 

As the depression hits, Anna is quite well off, having made a lot of money on the artefacts she's sold from Salvadorada and being old fashioned enough to not invest it in bonds but keeping the money (and gold, lots of gold) to herself. So when her sister and her husband loose everything, Anna leaves everything once again and goes off to Chestnut Ridge to save her. She buys, on a whim, an abandoned farm and task her brother in law with setting it up as a horse ranch, then goes back home to pack up. 

She hasn't counted on Johnny being hurt, having told herself over and over that he's just the playing kind. They have a huge argument and she accidentally end up proposing right in the argument (yes, that is her proposing). 

They're both so surprised because neither of them thought of themselves as the marrying kind, but they marry quite hastily, and privately (her parents did not approve of that) so that they are married when they move to Chestnut Ridge. 

Once at the farm where they work side by side rehabilitating poorly treated Mustangs (and war-veterans). They never have children (that ship has sailed by that time) but help raise Anna's sister's eldest son, and have a very close bond with him and his family. They lay buried side by side.
