First time survey taker

Personally, I'm not getting my hopes up for summer, even though the team did mention they'd be making changes to base game and existing content this year.

When it's specific to a theme (like in the previous survey there were a few questions related to a winter vacation theme), it's likely to be in early stages of development, so it's at least a year off.

For questions in this survey, I'm guessing anything from 6 months to a year. There's a slight chance that some of our answers will direct what we'll get in the next 6 months (maybe some of the things are already in the late stages and they want to know what to push first). That goes for things like CAS items for age groups and *maybe* the worlds we were asked about.

The gameplay potentials are most likely at least 6 months off, if not more.

That makes sense. I’ve never been more excited for the sims!

No one knows. The last time they did a survey like this, we still haven’t seen the results and it’s been months since that one. The options sound exciting but I’m not getting my hopes up

I think I've done every survey and I never feel like anything comes from them when it pertains to gameplay. Plus, anything they change will most likely come with a cost stuffed into a stuff/game/expansion pack.

I personally say any updates to CORE gameplay should be released for free.

You will never, ever see this stuff by the end of the month. Game development doesn't work that way... more than a year to years if it's newer ideas they are tossing around.
Look at the planning for a stuff pack and how long that takes to even become a pack.. right now we are in the process of voting for what will be in a stuff pack. They give us information on the development process that way and that is a little pack. In other interviews they talk about a 3 year plan. They are already working on things, a new idea has to be next.. or even after next.
It's exciting to think of these new changes but it doesn't mean the top voted survey stuff will happen soon if at all.
Not trying to be a buzz kill but patience and being realistic is the name of the game. To me it's exciting and I'm hoping the way I voted might make a difference for what I want to see come to the game eventually but I may be voting completely against what others want and my vote might end up on the scrap heap. I've come to terms with that from doing past surveys and community stuff pack votes.
By the way with this survey they didn't say this will happen or that they would share the results with us from this survey. Hopefully they will though.

Basically, don't expect any of these any time soon. Development takes a long time, and some of these base game changes could be delicate to the entire "ecosystem" of the game.

I personally put them aside in my mind, and after about a year or year and a half, I start keeping an eye out.

Yeah... long time survey taker here and I feel like I never see any of the things they list implemented in the game. The survey questions have gotten better over time but still waiting for the changes themselves.

Wow and I see more and more people saying the same thing. I wonder why they keep presenting these surveys and not really taking action with the results, unless production is close to the finish line? Because this isn’t the first time people have mentioned more emotions , interactions etc etc

I don't know, but my guess is that the surveys are useful for planning future content. I'm thinking 1-2 years ahead. It takes time developing a full pack, so if they should base it (partly) on one of those ideas, it would mean they would pretty much start from scratch.

Adding minor improvements might go quicker though, in a patch even, but for the bigger ideas I'd rather wait for a better fleshed out pack with more content.

This survey is meant to address the base game ? I thought it was for new packs !
