@Kita5399 MCCC was updated again on the 5th. Are you running the game with the new version? My game started throwing a bunch of LEs last night but I just quit and went to bed. Too irritated to deal with the game, I guess. But I went to Deaderpool's site earlier today and saw he had updated. Again.
I started a new save with a cat, turned off the eco footprint as well as the NPC voting option but nothing changed. The only thing I turned off this time were his motives. I left his needs and emotional settings as they were. Twelve hours after he was scolded for scratching the furniture he began to run off the lot again, but he isn't doing it very often. And can easily be called back home by clicking on his portrait. And it seems as if there are different interactions that cause the pets to wander off. Right now this new cat is getting a little megaphone appearing over his head which the Sims get whenever they do something that affects their influence points? Not sure why the cat is getting it unless turning off the NPCs' voting privileges triggered it.
What a time you're having with that doggo. Mine poofed off her lot while eating from her food dish! I just sat there so shocked I didn't know what to do. It's almost as if the aliens are snatching up our pets. I have alien abductions turned off with MCCC but it kinda makes me go 'hmmm'. That would certainly explain a lot if that were possible. I was able to teach the dog all the tricks and correct her bad habits before she began running away, though. Because of your experience with 'fetch' I waited to do that one last. My next test will be with a new dog in this newest save where I have all the eco stuff turned off.
Oh, does anyone know where Sultry Springs is located? Oasis Springs? This new cat's location was given as being Sultry Springs, but I don't have a clue where it is. It has to be a neighborhood in one of the older worlds the teams named that came in the pre-ep update. I know they went through all the worlds and named the different hoods for EL. Probably because we're supposed to be able to set the footprints for individual neighborhoods now. Which turns out to be quite the hassle from what I have learned. :/
