That's the issue that has me believing the disappearances are related to the world's footprint changing in response to which NAPs are active. I have turned off everything that has the ability to change the eco footprint in any way. The voting, NAPs, and the tags that are applied to B/B assets. The fact I am still getting pop ups every Monday at six that state which NAP was voted in bothers me a lot because with the voting turned off, and my active Sims not voting, there is no reason to have a pop up with a fictitious outcome. In my mind, that should not be happening and those voting kiosks should not be hanging around and attracting dozens of NPCs all hours of the day and night. Which has caused a few issues with lag from time to time.
I have played in a vanilla save and nothing changes, the disappearances still occur. I have spent hours going through all the mods I use to make sure there are no conflicts by adding them back into the game one at a time then play testing for an hour. Any mod that was not altered/updated after the June update is sitting in another folder on my desktop until we get a fix for some of these bugs. And, boy oh, boy, do I miss some of those quality of life mods. The ones that nuke the dumb autonomous actions are missed most of all. I have gone back to playing a save in Evergreen Harbor with everything I stated above turned off. Unfortunately, I didn't get very far in when I had to leave home to help a friend. Which ended with the security system on my car locking me out of it when I parked before going into a grocery store. Had to have my car towed and take a cab to get home. And I was almost thirty miles from home when all this happened. Technology is great until it isn't. So, I am going to play for a bit now that I am calmer. Thank you, tequila. And I will post the results of this latest try at keeping Ringo the cat at home where he belongs.
