I actually didn't get that vibe. 🙂 I thought Dave was just reassuring us that the Quality of Life Roadmap, introduced two months ago, is still a priority for the Sims team.
I think it is because they felt the need to make a video of it at all (I was mostly satisfied with the announcements, and will be more satisfied when I get to test/try the results). I mean some of the bug fixes were complained about for years, the video gives the: they just got the message, that there are bugs at all X / and they are sooo on it "now".
Just it didn't sit well with me, but I am a slightly skeptical person when it comes to people who have to talk about something more than is required—instead of just doing it. But I get that they may want to market these fixes, and help gain support.

I'm sorry you find yourself disliking the talking about it. How long have you been using EA products, especially Sims games? They weren't very transparent, for a long time. We the Players nagged and now they're being responsive. Try to look at it that way. Have a great day.

Since Sim Earth/Sims 1, 2, 3, but mostly took a break for almost all of Sims 4 till this time last year (I am about a year playing Sims 4). So I wasn't here for the majority of the Sims 4 CS experience.
It is not that I dislike it, it just comes across suspect, in general, to overly advertise that you are going to do something. I even question people in RL if they overly have to say/state something. After a while you just want them to show you/show me, and stop telling/talking about it.

I kinda feel similar about the video so I get what you mean. I feel like after the recent events they have a need to convince us to stay and play and are a bit over doing it or something 🤷🏼♀️
If some like the video that's nice, and I don't have to watch it again, so on the other hand no big deal 😁
