elliebreton, according to SimGuruNinja in today's Q&A the fix does not only apply to new saves.
The trigger we found and fixed will apply to new pictures only. We're still looking at the general bug area and investigating potential solutions.
The picture in my game wasn't taken with any camera a sim uses. It was his graduation from Britecester-U! I'm very upset about it, too. It was the very first time I had him hang it up. Growl-growl-grumble-grumble.
