Flower Arrangements

Is there anywhere you can buy them without being a florist? I checked under purchase gifts and I did not see any.

You can purchase them from the pc if you don't want to download the store I linked. Their under purchase gifts.

I checked purchase gifts on the PC and it was not there :(

Anyways so if I download the store I can buy the flowers even if no one owns the store, right? I have get to work but I have not done anything with retail really. When I tested retail, it lacked the same feeling I got from Open for Business in Sims 2 so I got rid of all the stores.

You can only buy single flowers from purchase gifts, not bouquets. (Don't know why not, as bouquets make more sense as a gift.) But yes, you can buy the flowers as long as you set them for sale. You have to own the store first, set the flowers for sale, then sell the store. NPCs will run it so you can shop there. Unfortunately, the one that Cat linked to doesn't actually have any bouquets for sale; you'd have to add your own. But I'm sure there are flower shops on the gallery that you could use.

I saw some flowers on the pc. Maybe it's random.
  • You can buy items from an NPC retail store as long as the items in the retail were set up to be up for sale. That said you may want to have a random household own it as once you buy an item from a retail it doesn't get restocked (well from my experience it never does) so you need the owner to go and restock the items or have the employees restock them for you when the store is opened (player controlled).

    Edit: Curse you Auto correct

It restocks in my game. Sounds like a bug. Might need to let SimGuruArvin or Nick know about it.

Mine, too. I've never had a problem with NPC stores being restocked. They might not restock immediately, though.
  • Question how do you prevent them from wilting? I had a arrangement outside and it had the same animation as if it "went bad" how do you prevent this? Id like to open bushiness to sell solely flower arrangements.

If you scent them with bluebells, they will not go bad. However, you can still sell them in a business even if you don't use bluebells. Every time you restock a flower, it will be replaced with a fresh bouquet.
