My big hang-up is having to go through a loading screen when all my sim wants to do is watch action movies on their neighbor's big screen TV, or swipe a helping of their leftover grilled cheese.

Ah OK, this makes sense. Thanks for taking the time to explain it, I never did get around to the apartment expansion for 2. This was kind of what I was thinking would be the case anyways, needing loading screens to switch households, but if we can avoid them to visit a neighbor that would be great.
