Question does anyone know if you can rent out rooms in a house or separate building?
They didn't say if the apartments need to have their own bathroom or kitchen. - The Sims

You can make friends live in the same lot . - DragonAge_3009052 years agoSeasoned AceCan someone on X ask a guru if we have our sim be a landlord and upgrade bathrooms, beds, kitchens, etc., before renting out the apartment, will the upgrades stay when we rent the apartment?
Can we have the simple living challenge on the lot with a garden and the sims will use the fresh produce to cook? - bizuktag2 years agoSeasoned Ace

Details based on this trailer:
1) We can build at least 6 units on a lot.
2) Houses with 2 units still have one of the new 3-box mailboxes outside of them. Possible there will only be the 3-box mailbox and the large multi-box mailbox included in the pack.
3) Exterior spaces enclosed by a fence or half-wall may not be considered part of a unit. Important to bear this in mind when building multi-family lots, because your neighbors will probably use your outdoor belongings unless you build an outdoor area that is only accessible through a door from the unit itself (aka no gates in fences).
4) Units do NOT have to be connected or share walls. You can build standalone units such as trailers or bungalows.
5) The large multi-box unit may not be wall-mounted, and can actually be used outside; at :16 seconds you can see a sim collecting mail from what appears to be one of these units in the bottom right of the corner.
5) Lots with more than 3 households do not have to use the large multi-box mailbox; at :21 seconds you can see a lot with 5 units has two of the 3-box mailboxes outside.
6) No confirmation on how many sims can live on a lot, but in this trailer 12 is still the maximum number of sims seen on a lot at one time. - leucosiax2 years agoSeasoned Acenew reel on the Sims official instagram show more than 2 units for the new expansion tool. It shows up to 6 units on one lot. I really hope that means you can rent to that many different households on one lot. That would radically add to the gameplay https://www.instagram.com/reel/CzbmIsyJ8SU/

Maybe not... if that total doesn't include pets. - Superstara1402 years agoSeasoned Ace

Twelve is not too bad.
It is. Would be such a boring and tiring and limiting limit. We NEED more space for Sims so what are we gaining from a new way to build lots if the limit for Sims is going to remain so tiny? Yeah no this will be a dealbreaker if they confirm only 12 Sims max lol. - Phonecallz2 years agoSeasoned AceEach 'unit' can have max 8 household members.
