You cannot have multiple lot types on Residential Rental lot as it is a new lot type of itself.SimGuruNova:
Not in this pack - Residential Rental is it's own new lot typeSpoilerhttps://twitter.com/hylianmaarc/status/1725216077657825470?s=20

The tweet says "this pack". SimGuruNova elaborates that one further:SimGuruNova:
not confirming anything either way, but it is a community request that we're aware of! it's something folks have wanted for a while for sure.Spoilerhttps://twitter.com/SimGuruNova/status/1725227000707891331?s=20
So, in short:
No multiple lot types on one lot for now, but they are aware of this request. - SnaveXs2 years agoSeasoned Ace
- There is a catchy werewolf song coming with this pack.

Update
Linking from X seems to be temporarly broken. Just click on the link. - @catloverplayer you have to change the x.com to twitter.com Not sure why but that's how I now get it to work. Funny thing it's only on my laptop that I have to change the link. On my phone it still posts as twitter.com

Travelling between units works like in City Living (with loading screens)SimGuruNinja:
In Residential Rentals you'll see 1 active unit at a time along with all shared spaces. If you click on a neighbor's door that unit will become the active one. Very much like City Living.Spoilerhttps://twitter.com/SimGuruNinja/status/1725533760702361734?t=FqEAkRf5jyppoMrTEuCLdQ&s=19The Sims Official Page:
To optimize this pack's performance for all our players & in line with the current technology seen in The Sims 4 City Living, you'll be able to see shared spaces & your own unit, however there is a small load time as you travel to enter the homes of other units.
We'll show exactly how all this works in the coming deep dive so stay tuned ?Spoilerhttps://twitter.com/TheSims/status/1725545563888758801?t=e4DAX93hp3eZiRjt2GLhcA&s=19 - EgonVM2 years agoSeasoned AceKeeping up with Tweets:
The cheat that allows unlimited units is really generousjackofallgames:
Tbh if the limits for the cheat are generous, and it basically allows for as many Apartments as we can fit on a lot, it justifies the loading times for me. Hopefully the cheat is generous ????SimGuruNinja:

- The gameplay trailer was released! Info from that includes:
- Property owners living in one of their residential rental lots don't have to pay rent.
- When you are building a residential rental lot and click on a room, you can set the room to either belong to a unit, create a new unit, or make it a shared space.
- Unlike in The Sims 2, each unit can have more than one door leading out, as the video showed making a bathroom between two units a shared space.
- In the upper right panel, there will be a button next to the Lot Info panel for unit configurations. There you can see the unit's name (household's name if occupied), and opening it up allows you to see its size and value, set its number of bathrooms and bedrooms, and set it as home unit. In addition, each unit has different lot traits which you can set through Unit Configurations.
- The Tenant Agreement panel allows you to change the rent per day and lease length, see the unit rating and what affects it, set the rules and fines for breaking these rules, and see the tenants. You can also travel to the unit (loading screen I guess) and unjustly evict the tenants.
The rules shown:- No Social Events
- No Loud Noises
- Maximum Occupancy
- No Trash Overload
- No Ghosts
- No Social Events
- Tenant Agreement can be set differently to each unit, so you can set the rent and rules individually. The rent can even be set to 0.
- Fill Vacancies panel shows you the unit info (rating, rules, bed and bathrooms, and rent) and show you potential tenants who can move in. The higher the unit rating is, the more tenant choices you have.
- The tenant choices only show the amount of sims, the ages of sims, how many beds are wanted, and what is their rent cap.
- If someone is late on rent, the property owner can post a rent demand or even take their tenants stuff.
- Tenants that break the rules or don't pay the rent can be (justly) evicted. (Added justly because there are also unjustly evictions)
- Second chances can be given to those evicted.
- Some observations on the three scenes:
- Tenant Revolt can see tenants protesting.
- Roach problems.
- Apartments can be haunted also.
- There's a tool that can get rid of all the roaches.
- Tenant Revolt can see tenants protesting.
- Toddlers can play with those squat toilets.
- Property owners living in one of their residential rental lots don't have to pay rent.
- On lease length: sims rent indefinitely, but lease length indicates after how many days the grace period is, during which allows tenants to leave without additional fees and property owners can change the lease details or evict the household without any repercussions. Rent is paid every week.
- Residential Rental doesn't allow multi-lot type lots, but they have heard it. Anything in shared space will be used by every sim.
- Cross-pack rules: With Cats & Dogs expansion pack, you can disallow pets.
- Travelling between units causes a loading screen. One unit can be active at one time.
- Confirmation that the cheat for unlimited units (begins with bb.) is really generous and allows players to get out of control.
- Freedom given allows you to build non-functional units (1x1 square unit for example).
- There are no required objects for residential rentals.
- Converting lots to Residential Rental is easy as (as shown in the trailer) you can choose rooms and assign them to units.
This recap may include info from Tweets found on YouTube.

There are no required items for each unit. For the whole Residential Rental lot itself, unclear. My guess is only the mailbox.
According to the announcement trailer, electrical box and water heater in the shared area is enough. - Simmerville2 years agoLegendWe obviously don't expect community lots to be a part of this new mix of units, but how about rented residentials? The lot you can stay in for just a chosen number of nights? I think they should implement that feature with this new unit thing, because they are residential, too! And, it is probably only a matter of tagging the unit - won't even need to connect to a landlord, as it can be reserved playing the visitor actively. I often find it weird to rent a full house when I go to a different world for just a couple night, you mostly need a bed, a bathroom and perhaps a small lounging area.
Did anyone come across info regarding this? The lot category exists in so many worlds that I suspect it might be basegame. It doesn't make sense to not address this when introducing rentable units...
