- Simmerville2 years agoSeasoned AceQuestion re preordering. Is there some benefits from preordering, like downloading the game a bit in advance? If not - what is the point in preordering - it's not like a digital product will be sold out... I will get a code from where I purchased my preorder, but I assume there is little difference in where you bought the pack except needing to redeem a code. Can that be done early?

No, there is no pre downloads for packs.- elliebreton2 years agoSeasoned Ace

If you get the code early enough I believe it can be redeemed but you still wouldn't be able to play it until the time of release. I'm pretty sure I got my code from CD Keys a few hours early once and I redeemed it ok, but I still had to wait to play.
So, no, there isn't really a benefit to pre-ordering other than if you manage to get it somewhere that is offering a good price for ordering before the day. - Simmerville2 years agoSeasoned Ace

Thanks! I did not expect to actually play the pack early, but perhaps being able to install it a bit early to be ready for playing the second it goes released. Well, I can go o preparing my units instead, then :) - FreddyFox12342 years agoSeasoned Veteran

I think this can be an issue for some places. The pre-order price can be quite low, but once the pack's released the price may go up to something nearer full price (before probably coming back down again a few months later). So in that case it's worth pre-ordering.
