Could someone PLEASE ask the SimGurus if there really is no max cap for apartments? How about us finally getting lots of customization? <3
@ULIBABA66 they know we want to know. ? There was a bit of teasing about this.
SimGuruNova in response to someone who said they forgot about asking her.Spoilerhttps://twitter.com/SimGuruNova/status/1720257151292289354?t=YCfD-aWMa_1KIlFh8jwyqQ&s=19

Thank you so much for sharing these! I do hope it will be at least more than max 4 households per lot, and I will not mind the loading screens if that's the case, especially if we can still interact with the other families in the same residential rental lot whenever some Sims are coming out of their apartments for doing errands and daily stuff like checking their mailbox, like in City Living. This EP has huge potential to become one of the better, if not best, Sims 4 Expansion Packs we have had in a long time. I already preordered For Rent, I just cannot wait to see how it works in the actual game <3 hoping we will get more information soon, hopefully a gameplay trailer is already scheduled sometime this month and maybe around the end of November we will get a gameplay livestream of sorts! So excited despite my initial concerns! Cannot wait to revamp Del Sol Valley, Forgotten Hollow, and Moonwood Mills (Werewolves) <3 - Superstara1402 years agoSeasoned Ace

I was going to wait on this one, but then I saw hopscotch and marbles. So I'm sold.
I'm not much of a builder, but it does seem to me that San Sequoia and Del Sol Valley would be perfect places for townhomes. Johnny Zest might finally find himself in a trailer park. And I might bulldoze those stores in Magnolia Promenade and build multi-family units there, too. Looking forward to learning more about Tomarang.
The traits look interesting, except for "cringe." Is it the same as "inappropriate?" We already have a socially awkward trait. And is dabbing something that people do while dancing? Elders want to know.
I completely forgot Magnolia Promenade existed. That's a good idea."SimplyJen;c-18322878" wrote:
I've seen a lot of people mention the rice cooker but upon closer look, I think it's a pressure cooker. Yes, you can totally make rice in a pressure cooker. The reason I mention this is because around the timestamp @ 0:52 you see the sim release steam from a valve much like a pressure cooker.Spoilerhttps://youtu.be/jSPZtVbVIT8?si=CdVP_sxugDS05oFm&t=52
Such a silly thing to bring up. I just thought it was interesting since I have a unhealthy collection of small kitchen appliances in RL. :D My instant pot kicked the bucket but it looked a lot like the trailer when I did use it. My rice cooker doesn't work like a pressure cooker. I do use that often. Not can expert or anything. Curious what others think who know a thing or two about kitchen stuff.
Yeah I noticed that too and mentioned it earlier, as soon as I saw the valve on top, and esp after he jumped aside, I was like INSTAPOT. Yep it scares me too. I've never made rice in mine but I've seen the option. I just use a separate rice cooker. But when I saw it I thought about the various meals I make in mine and got excited. To date I've cooked entire chickens, with and without beans, beans on their own, spare ribs, various adobos, dal, curries, etc. All in my trusty pressure cooker, and I've only had it a year. After getting it, I found out how pressure cookers feature heavily in a lot of South, Southeast and (I think also) Southwest Asian cooking/preparation. (Also slow cooking and other methods too.) So it makes sense that they reflect that in this pack along with new dishes.
I love it when my sims get to cook new things too.
Omg I know this has potential to get mixed reactions when I say it may come in another expansion pack of its own, BUT...just imagine if we will get a pack with multipurpose lot tools or shopping malls (or both! I think a shopping mall would have to be in a multi-purpose community lot type) so we can improve Magnolia Promenade ourselves! Maybe it will happen as the Entrepreneur EP that was mentioned in the 2017 EP survey for Sims 4?
And it could potentially include new venue types like tattoo studios (your Sims can get a tattoo from a tattoo specialist or remove it professionally, Tattoo skill, etc), Beauty Salons and ability to run your own cafe, inside the shopping mall? And home businesses too? So much ideas they could make even for just one EP, but they won't run out of ideas anytime soon, we all have lots of ideas and wishes for new content   - LadyKyn2 years agoSeasoned AceIf I don't get burglars coming soon with seeing sims like this being able to break into apartments im gonna scream. :#
Animation is too perfect to pass up on them not returning.

Traits identify their personality with animations it's about time. Now if only they would go back and rework old traits that have no identifiable animations.
They are a few years too late for dab actually being a "cool" thing to do but I'm all for it not everything has to be modern or in right now. The same can be said for hopscotch and marbles great for generational gameplay.
Dabbing is likely meant to be tied to the Cringe trait. Including it in the game well after its expiration date - especially when it was seen as embarrassing even during its heyday - was probably intentional. - SnaveXs2 years agoSeasoned AceDel Sol Valley low-income 50x40 lot will definitely have a complex apartment there. I like what I have been seeing. I was reading the pack description and I'm wondering if our sims will be able to actually take a stroll around the neighborhood. I have my sims go jogging when I want to view the world from there perspective in First Person mode and I even downloaded a mod to have them walk around because when they jog around, they get exhausted. So, If a "take a stroll" or walk option is coming with this expansion pack. I'll be happy about that and will be able to take another mod out of my game.
- SilentK0082 years agoSeasoned AceHappy for new things that kids can do that does not involve tech or gadgets. This will work great in my low-tech saves. Don't know when I will buy it but it will be fun to read about it here while I wait for it.
- OzSimsFamily2 years agoSeasoned AceI’m torn. Both very positive and very wary about this pack.
So long as hopscotch lets all ages (grandparents, parents and children) play, that will be another mod gone for me. Just needing the climbable trees and the toddler’s play stuff to lose even more mods. It is interesting how some of my favourite mods from curseforge are now appearing in the game.
Looking forward to working apartment buildings and all the potential gameplay and challenge scenarios that might create. Hoping I can create a medieval village with dirt floor huts that are slowly upgraded by settlers.
Don’t like the overly hammed new death, but it does fit the Sims 4 style (which I’ve always found too cartoonish and childish).
Pool parties - we need more pool stuff especially waterslides, water games and lifeguards.
Hoping the animal sanctuary is more than rabbithole even if only a walkthrough similar to the existing hiking trails….
Overall the pack has so much potential (apartments, gameplay, animals especially elephants…) and I will be buying it immediately, but AUD$50 is a lot to pay to be disappointed yet again for missing, buggy and broken game content. - Lonewolf10442 years agoSeasoned AceI am intrigued by this EP but I am wondering if I can build Apts in other Neighborhoods? I may pick it up but I do not like being restricted to going to one area that has an option.

I know, right? So much potential with this animation. I'd prefer old school burglars and they could make it so if no alarm is on the lot, you've opted out of burglars. There's still a chance they could get away. Cops could show up similar to firefighters in this game.
I'm willing to hear more info on these break ins though. Interested to know if it's only apartments or low rent places. If so, that would a waste. - MarteziaKing2 years agoNew Spectator

Well, I'm guessing that these "snoopers" (as they're called in the reveal trailer) is the new term for burglars because they're basically burglars dressed in regular clothes but that's just a theory though. ?
