For teens, besides volunteering, how to increase Character values

For emotional control get any music skill to level 4 and you will get the option to play with emotion to raise it. I also make teens jog to clear mind whenever they get one of those teen specific +50 moodswings. Winding down with classical music works too, but it seems to go very slowly.

Empathy you can give gifts, but volunteering is my go to there.

Conflict resolution is the hardest one if done late, because it seems there is a cooldown on how often you can help fix bad relationship with other sims, but it works if you arent out of time.

Thank you @annaliese39 and @Drakos !managed to get teen with 4 except for conflict resolution but I’m not interested and causing some problems only to raise to it, so I left it as is. :)

I think you can also get empthy from saying nice things to people - using the 'brighten their day' or 'complement' interactions.

For emotional control, the journal also helps.

Carl's guide as mentioned has a list of positive and negative behaviours which is better than anything i could have said.

Mainly I use setting the table, taking out trash, brushing teeth, writing in journal, jogging to clear mind, giving gifts (here take my junk), and helping fix bad relationships(I play in my recreated ts2 save file so there's plenty of people with enemies to work with). I also find during my rotational when I go back to sims they've made random dislikes acquaintances to work on too.
