For those of you who don't use mods, why?

I have downloaded a lot of fun mods this year and great cc and have collected some I haven't tried yet like some new occult ones, I really love all the food mods and clothing/hair CC, but it made my game run a bit laggy and created some bugs/conflicts and it was getting tiring trying to figure out which ones were conflicting, creating problems, why some Sims had the dreaded question mark tattoos or bizarre CC outfits, and stressful finding which mods/CC needed updates, so I removed them. I've always played vanilla anyway so I don't mind. I'm just happy the game runs faster and more smoothly on my computer this way.
