This is the SIM I am doing the event with.I forgot to take pictures of hugging her pixel bear.

Bigfoot is a cute stuffie for your sims family to do the event with 💗It was a a good idea to renovate the toddlers room into a playroom for the event.

Part 2...
Reese navigated the inside of the tree and found himself in a magical place. Of course he brought Sly along.
"You look so pretty in the light"

"Hmmm... I wonder what's inside" Reese couldn't help but search inside the logs. His father once told him frogs could be found in there, but he wasn't sure he believed that. 

"I found 3 frogs! I feel like a pirate searching for treasure"  He imagined himself with a Captain's Hat, and a Jolly Roger by his side. Aaarhhh"

When he returned to Sly he tried playing a trick on him. 
"Sly whats that!!... Sly look, turn around. You're too smart for that, huh? Let's go home, it's getting late. I don't want mom getting angry with me. She'll just say, I'm not getting you that game anymore."

Exiting the tree he found the little kitten waiting for him. He carried it home. 
"And why are you late?"
"I was playing in this weird... no I got lost... Anyway I found this kitten, and 3 frogs.... could I keep --"

"Reese no, you're not keeping any frogs. You can keep the kitten but the frogs have to go" Colette quickly added

"Thanks mom. Geez, that was easy" Reese mumbled under his breath. As he reached the stairs to go to his room he forgot to mention something. "OH-- I think this is a baby raccoon."
Colette took a moment to process what she had just agreed to. 

They are cute photos of Reese hugging Sly in Sylvan Glade and him pretending that he is a pirate 💗He was clever to find the frogs,and then when he came home with the kitten/raccoon to want to keep both, which resulted in what his mother at first was the best choice! Collette now looks a bit concerned! 

Using moveobjects there :) figured pixel the bear would like to try the sofa too 😁

I like doing silly little stories but my screenshot folder has bad habit of blowing up when I get into playing 😅
sometimes I just get too overwhelmed by the folders to actually get the post out 😂 but I am trying!

elliebreton​ (and AgnesValravn​ ) I had a similar experience and read in the forum that many other players did too--thinking the optional tasks didn't matter. In the past, they did, so I wasn't taking any chances with this one, 

However, the family I'd been using for this event had JUST had their cats breed and birth a kitten, so I didn't want them to get another cat. 😒 I took a chance and let another household adopt one instead. He already had one cat but still completed the "optional" cat tasks for me. Then I went back to the original family with the child to finish this week's quests. That worked fine.

The little kitten born in game being loved by her mamma--just a day before the Event "adopt a cat" quest popped up! 

The kitten I adopted using a different household. Just arrived! She's a Burmese I named Nikki Burma. 

The family now: Nikki, Joe, and Si Ames (male Siamese). This is a small house, so I had to fit in another pet bed and food bowl. 

Both kittens are very sweet! 💗It is a cute picture of the first one with her mother ❤️

I'm glad to see people are enjoying the event. I usually do, it's free stuff after all. But this time... I just don't care. It's mostly re-meshes of items I have. I'll wait to see if others think the trait is any good and worth putting in the effort to do the event to get to it.
