Forever Friends Gameplay and Picture Thread (Ends November 4)
ETA: Just a reminder this event will be ending on Tuesday November 4. Usually happens earlier in the day.
This thread is for those simmers participating in the Forever Friends Reward Event starting Tuesday, September 23. Share your gameplay, pictures, and questions here.
After coming home, Greg tried to find a way to fix the lens hopelessly. Such as checking his fairytale book, he remembered that it had a story about magical imaginary friends. He discovered that the magic would exist as long as they hadn't grown up.
Then he tried to search in the kids' chatroom. And found that sharing memories with others will help.
Greg went to the living room to ask his father. Arthur, who might have the better answer. Fortunately that his father was always open-minded and never thought that his story was stupid.
His father said that it may be because Greg had grown up, so he couldn't be able to see and hear what he had been able.
Greg almost cried, but Arthur hugged him to comfort him. Arther encouraged Greg to tell more stories he had in his mind. His daughter,
"Barbara would be interested in your story, too!"
Greg said many stories about Bigfoot and what magical moments he had with it. Greg now understood why telling others would help. That will make Bigfoot real in his family's mind as well!
After finish telling, Barbara rushed to see Bigfoot, whom her brother said. But the dollhouse distracted her.
Greg didn't mind. He came to sit and watch his sister play with the doll.
Seeing how Barbara still enjoyed playing with imagination reminded him of how he was when he was young,
...and how much he had grown up.
He can't be excited naively like his sister did anymore.
He had to admit that he had forgotten Bigfoot for a long time after he grew up and had more exciting computer games to play.
If his mother hadn't brought Bigfoot to put in the living room recently, he would never have thought about Bigfoot. And the magic that "makes it real" would never happen.
After a lot of thought, Greg was so glad that he was lucky enough to meet Bigfoot again.
He will do his best to treasure his memories with Bigfoot forever.
I removed all the stuffed animals because it didn't work the first time I tried, but maybe I hadn't watched it correctly. Thank you rosemow and lanlynk. I will try again. But I don't want that scary ghost 🙂
I just explored the Watch TV option. It brings up random channels, including Static TV, which came with Life & Death! I've never encountered this before. I had a YA sim, in a different save, and using a different TV watch Static for a while and THIS happened. 😱
I had no idea about this feature! So glad Rick didn't watch that Static long enough for Edith to appear! 😨
gidget1234 I had to reread the quest task again because it didn't click off for me at first either. Maybe make sure you're choosing Watch TV specifically, not channel or movie, etc. Also, the stuffed animal can't be near the watcher or the TV this time. This is what I saw when I watched TV:
EDIT: So, I don't know why I got this static and none of the streamers I watched did when they worked on the task. I searched and found out that the static is a Life & Death feature for a creepy channel. I just assumed static was part of the quest--you know, TV without the toy is just blah. ... Now, I need to see what I did! At least my task finished ok. 😆
Do you have a stuffed animal placed somewhere in the home? You need to have a stuffed animal placed somewhere in the home. But it can’t be in the room where the sim is watching tv.
Is anyone else having any trouble with watch TV? It won't check off for me. I have had them move 3 times and go to other lots and watch tv and it won't check off. They built the treehouse and she played in it and I cannot get any more event points if she can't check off watch tv. 🙁
Right, it's such a bittersweet story with this direction! I am waiting to watch your story as well.
It would be more perfect if I could assign only one sim to do the quest to make the story more realistic. But as it helps people finish goals faster and is helpful for sim who have grown up from the child, that's okay.
(I start week 4 when it's Friday afternoon. I thought I had to wait for two days, then his father comes back from work, and the event ends.)
