Emotions don't add anything to the game and Sims 5 would be best to not have it, or at least have it play a much smaller part in the gameplay.
All previous Sims games handled emotions better. They had all these emotions without making it a big deal.
Now every sim has the over emotional trait by default and I hate it. I don't think there's any way to salvage this, they just need to dump this whole system for the sequel and instead work on deepening the traits system, making it an improvement of what we had in Sims 3 instead of a huge step back with less traits and them not doing much at all.
