In all the videos I saw that showed CAS, there were three trait slots for adults and two for teens etc, as usual. Maybe it's a Mod plumbella has ?

I doubt they would show a mod while promoting a new pack. Usually game changers dont even have other packs installed when showing a new pack nevermind mods.

I wonder if they are reworking traits? But why would they keep quiet about them during the live stream, especially when everyone's been asking for improved trait system?
Probably.
Maybe because it's not coming out now? I think it's still in development, and gurus usually don't talk about stuff that comes out later on. Especially if they still have some issues.
