I don't think it has actual branches, I think they meant that you can pick a "branch" based on what types of gigs you have your sims do. If you have a writer sim, you can choose to only have them do marketing gigs or they can only do ghost writing gigs, or they can choose a mixture of both. Same with the other two, kind of like with the acting career where you can choose to have your sim only do commercials, TV shows, movies, or a mixture.
