fun things to do in your game

Give me some ideas of things to do besides the every day norm.

First, I want to find Mayor Whiskers and adopt him
I just had one sim buy a vet, so I can't wait to play around with that

anything you do to add variety to your game? or just try something unusual for the heck of it?

  • At the moment I'm setting up a starter town, meaning I am going through the whole town setting it up the way I like, and will be using it to start any future game saves. Anyways I went through and gave a whole lot of families different pets, and placed in town my sim who has completed every single sill, and made her a vet. Let's just say there are no shortages of furry patients. I always use her when starting a new pack and to see what all it has to offer. I've had a little problem with her in the past of stealing my other sim's husbands, but I think I managed to put a stop of that nonsense when I used the MCCC mod to flag her for No Adultery, at least that's how I hope it works, if it doesn't work I'll just remove her.

I have created a very large garden on a community lot that has every single plant that can be found in the game, and gotten them up to perfect in quality. I have upgraded several of the community lots to have things that have came out in different packs.

At least that is what I'm doing at the moment.

I liked reworking some pre-made homes to give them a better face lift while also building homes for my sims or just some places I wanted in my neighborhood. Much like a theater for sims to go and watch movies. With the get together feature with clubs it works out nicely, since there's usually a group of sims to come specifically do just that.
  • Oh, your title for this thread sent my thoughts in a different direction, so I'll share them anyway. Fun things to do in this game. Well, for starters, when my Sims' father calls to ask her out for one reason or another, depending on what's going on in her slightly wild household, I like to make up the dialogue. "No, Dad, I can't go to the circus right now, I'm in labor. I'll be sure to get back to you after the baby is here, though." o:)
  • Play unemployed sim, don't earn by painting/music/writing/collectibles.
Play seven sims, from toddlers to death.
Make connections only with premades, friends/romances/enemies.

Sometimes, I grab premades and give them (more) kids or other relatives by playing with genetics in CAS. It's also a great way to add more population instead of those horrible, randomly generated townies.
