Gallery being sorted by "Popular Now" by default is a problem

I agree.
The upward movement on the page may depend also on the quantity "likes" - not quantity downloads. Well, this will favor the YouTube creators, and of course those with a lot of follwers, Maybe it will be more honest - one person , one "like " - but many people will not like it too.
