Game generating dozens of outfits for my sims?

maybe the MCC settings but I’m not 100% on if I’ve changed something that interferes with this

The first thing that popped in my mind is do you have any mods that might contribute to this?

I'd have to see a picture before I have any real clue. Just off the top of my head, is it the 5 outfits per category? Cause when you chose "change outfit" it shows all outfits your sim has and if they have 5 in easy category, that is 40 outfits total, so I imagine it would be a lot to cycle thru.

I don't know any MCCC setting that you change where the mod chooses max outfits for sims, itself. I would think you'd have to pick the outfits yourself, but admittedly, I don't know all the settings in MCCC. Just creating outfits doesn't sound like something that would be in that mod. Of course, there has been a number of changes lately.

Are these outfits not there in CAS? Not anywhere in the 5 outfits per category?

That's odd. I know the game will generate some situation outfits for either walk-by like rain ones and holiday walkbys or festival ones. Usually don't show in my Sims wardrobe. MCC definitely doesn't cause things like that.
