Game Options - turning off snow and rain [PROBLEM SOLVED]

I recently discovered the option to say no to snow and rain, which I did in Sulani. However, the game seems to totally ignore my settings. I've now played all four seasons, and nothing has changed. ...

ACK!!! I had a rogue mod in a subfolder that may have conflicted with the Game Options. Took it out, opened the game and then saved and exited, reopened and the sun is shining again. Stupid user error! Sorry folks!
