Hey @Alwe1507, I can't answer all your questions (1 and 2), but I can answer most of them.
3. Yes, sims can live in one neighborhood and travel to another. Use the phone and click the button with a little car on it. There should be an option that says "travel," that's the one you want. It will take you to the map of the world your in. There should be a button in one of the corners that has a globe on it. If you click that, you can select any world you want to go to!
4. Neighbors don't do much. They build skills. There are mods to change this though, like MCCC.
5. None! There are houses that are set dressing, but since you can't click on them at all I don't consider them rabbit holes. You can enter all the building types in-game.
Okay, I'm going to try to answer 1 and 2. I can't promise they're accurate because I've never played TS2 or TS3, but...
1. You have three life spans you can choose from in the options menu- short, normal and long. It's up to you to decide what you like, I personally prefer normal.
2. There is no story progression except for skill-building without mods.
@nerdfashion
Thank you for your response!
3. That actually sounds pretty cool. I usually play large rotational saves so how I'm reading your response is that I can have a playable household on one "world" and within that same saved game, have a second playable household on a second "world"?
4. Good. One of the worst aspects of TS3 IMHO!
5. That's also good news. Another rubbish aspect from TS3!
Just referencing aging and story progression - TS2 only allowed the active household to age and progress, so as the player you were in complete control. TS3 was neighbourhood-wide aging and progression - your active household aged and the whole rest of the neighbourhood did too, at the same rate!
