Gameplay Questions - Help Appreciated

There are no functioning cars in the Sims 4. The ones you see driving are just FX effects. If you stand in the road with your sim, occasionally a car will just drive through you.
And yes, there are no carpools to work. There are no school buses to school. There are no taxis to go out to a community lot.
And tbh I dont think there will ever be. Some worlds just don't really support it. Where is a school bus suppose to drive to pick your kids up on the Windenburg island? There's no road. Just small dirt trails. Nevermind the fact that it's an island so a school bus showing up wouldn't even make sense.
