@Stormkeep The plots did the trick, so far. I had her plant everything, bell peppers, mushrooms, and peas. The peppers sprouted quickly, but for some reason the sprinkler would not water them and they quickly dropped in quality to next to nothing. When I say it wouldn't water, the sprinkler was working but the plants still kept saying they needed watered. I think that went on just long enough to get them past the point they couldn't be saved. While she was sleeping, weeds appeared on one of the pepper plants and before she could get to them they died. Other than that everything else is doing well. Looks like the base game planter has a bug.
I'm past the point where in all the other attempts all of the vegetables had died.
